This beautiful handmade laundry basket is manufactured by craftsman living in Bolgatanga and surrounding villages in Africa.
Our laundry baskets are woven using elephant grass colored with non-toxic fibres and vegetable dyes to generate all natural, modern colors after being dried in the sun. The double woven handles of our products, which are entirely eco-friendly and sustainable, are wrapped in goat skin to provide comfort and padding. Leathers are naturally tanned using local seeds and red corn. (If any leather )
This handwoven basket is perfect for the laundry room. It can hold a large load of dirty clothes and has sturdy handles for carrying a lot of clothes. Baskets are shipped through DHL Express Ghana. A tracking number will be provided.
Please do not be surprised when you receive your basket. Baskets are flattened and wrapped in sacks when shipping by courier. This does not damage the baskets: they are resilient and durable. When you unpack your basket please simply follow forming instructions below:
Forming instructions
1. Simply dampen your basket in cold water or spray some cold water. If any avoid soaking leather.
2. Place the basket on a flat surface and use your hands to reshape the basket to its original appearance.
3. Let it dry completely. Do not keep them in wet places.
4. When it dries, it will once again be perfect!
Maintenance instructions
Keeping our maintenance suggestions in mind, you can use your eco-friendly basket for years,
1. In case of soaking, sun-dry your basket or leave it to dry at room
temperature.
2. Make sure to keep your basket in the shade to prevent color fading.
3. Easy to clean, stains can be easily removed with a damp cloth.
